Last updated: 17/09/2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to kiwivalues.nz. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and handle information gathered through our voluntary surveys in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Our primary goal is to ensure your privacy is protected by collecting only anonymous data.

2. What Information We Collect

When you participate in our online surveys, we collect only demographic information (such as age, gender, and location) and your responses to the survey questions. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other information that could directly identify you.

If you choose to share your result, the link you create is opt-in and only ever handed to people you send it to yourself. It shows your position on the compass and a small number of the individual statements behind it, not your full set of answers.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely for the following purposes:

4. Your Rights

Because we do not collect any personal information that can be used to identify you, we have no way of linking your survey responses to you as an individual. Therefore, under the Privacy Act 2020, the rights of access to and correction of your data are not applicable.

5. Security and Storage

We take reasonable steps to protect the anonymous data from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. We will only retain the data for as long as is necessary for our stated purposes.

If you close the survey partway through, your in-progress answers are kept in your own browser, not on our servers, so you can pick up where you left off. They are cleared as soon as you submit the survey, and in any case after 24 hours.

6. Contact Us

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data handling practices, please contact us at hello@kiwivalues.nz.
